Some drawings from my sketchbooks I used as inspiration.
This is mostly based on the area near South Melbourne market. I think I should post more photos of buildings which inspire me. And draw them.
Visad samgu išvyst savo darbus atspausdintus. Ar tai bebūtų atvirukai, atkeliavę ką tik iš spaustuvės ar knyga, o gal žurnalas. Ir visuomet būna šiek tiek netikėtumų, niekad negali būt tikras dėl popieriaus, spalvų, o jei darbas sukurtas kompiuterio pagalba – atspaudus atrodo dar kitaip. Ir pagaliau pastvėriau kamerą, tai štai paskutiniai ir kiek senesni darbai.
Espresso tales – naujas, labai melburnietiškas žurnalas apie kavą ir žmones. Viskas prasidėjo nuo tokio eskizo.
Ir rezultatas.
Ir atvirukas, kaip gi gali būt kitaip.
O čia kiek kitoks reikalas. Patekau į “Panelę”, va taip. Labai patinka straipsnio pavadinimas 🙂
I think Melbourne smells like coffee.
There is even a coffee expo. I got involved in it too – Me and two more artists had to decorate the coffee machines for an upcoming auction. If you know anyone planning to open a cafe in Australia – tell them to come and have a look on those Italian (of course!) machines.
This was one of the sketches – coffee monster, but together with the client we came up with another idea.
After that there was some stencil cutting.
And spray painting in the basement.
And more stencils.
And markers.
The result! Well, it is jut front panel, hope to get the picture of the whole machine.
And the monster? It became a greeting card!
